Es justo todo lo que pasa en la película， pero al poder leer cómo se sienten los personajes es otra onda。 Todo está muy trágico， esperaba que aquí contarán que pasaba después con Edith y Alan， pero creo que vale la pena leerlo。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 I only read this book because Tom Hiddleston was on the cover and honestly I didn’t think I was going to like it that much but I did。 It was really good， I was intrigued the entire book。 It was gothic and creepy， there were ghosts， and the romance was nice。 Thomas did actually love her and if he wasn’t trying to kill her they would’ve made such an adorable couple。 But he didn’t want to kill her cuz he fell in love with her and he tried to save her which I love him for。 Even if Thomas was a kille I only read this book because Tom Hiddleston was on the cover and honestly I didn’t think I was going to like it that much but I did。 It was really good， I was intrigued the entire book。 It was gothic and creepy， there were ghosts， and the romance was nice。 Thomas did actually love her and if he wasn’t trying to kill her they would’ve made such an adorable couple。 But he didn’t want to kill her cuz he fell in love with her and he tried to save her which I love him for。 Even if Thomas was a killer I still loved him so much。 I literally screamed when he showed up the first time。 The only problem I had with this book was the incest。 WTF I was not expecting that。 But other than that I liked this this book。 。。。more

Me encanta la película y me encanta la novelización。 La historia está llena de romance y terror gótico， con una ambientación increíblemente bien hecha， con una trama llena de detalles， referencias y buenos personajes， da miedo en el sentido clásico/tradicional， pero también por la maldad de los humanos。 No se necesita saber mucho al comenzarla porque lo interesante está en ir descubriendo los secretos conforme avanzas。 Es exactamente igual a la peli pero con algunos detalles extra， por ejemplo u Me encanta la película y me encanta la novelización。 La historia está llena de romance y terror gótico， con una ambientación increíblemente bien hecha， con una trama llena de detalles， referencias y buenos personajes， da miedo en el sentido clásico/tradicional， pero también por la maldad de los humanos。 No se necesita saber mucho al comenzarla porque lo interesante está en ir descubriendo los secretos conforme avanzas。 Es exactamente igual a la peli pero con algunos detalles extra， por ejemplo un pedacito de la infancia de Lucille y Thomas， pero nada que modifique el curso de la historia。 Completamente recomendaría ver primero la película， para tener ya referencias visuales （sí， principalmente a Tom Hiddleston como Thomas jeje） y para que al leer captes al 100% los detalles que tal vez no notaste las primeras veces que viste la película。 La única cosa que cambió en mí gracias al libro， fue la forma en la que miraba a Alan （el doctor que siempre ha estado enamorado de Edith， la protagonista） porque en el audiovisual no se le da mucha relevancia y en el libro indagamos en sus motivaciones y sentimientos。 。。。more

No sé porque no leí este libro antes。Esto es básicamente la película adaptada a libro y nunca he visto la película entonces fue mi primer acercamiento a la historia。 La historia es sobre Edith， una joven que sueña con ser novelista que vive con su padre， por accidente conoce a un sujeto que le cambia el mundo。 Todo se genera a partir de eso y de ahí vamos descubriendo cosas además de secretos que involucran al sujeto y a Edith。Poco a poco nos vamos enterando de cosas que nos llevan a preguntarno No sé porque no leí este libro antes。Esto es básicamente la película adaptada a libro y nunca he visto la película entonces fue mi primer acercamiento a la historia。 La historia es sobre Edith， una joven que sueña con ser novelista que vive con su padre， por accidente conoce a un sujeto que le cambia el mundo。 Todo se genera a partir de eso y de ahí vamos descubriendo cosas además de secretos que involucran al sujeto y a Edith。Poco a poco nos vamos enterando de cosas que nos llevan a preguntarnos ¿Qué está pasando？ pero también hace que quieras seguir leyendo para descubrirlo。 Los personajes son distintos entre ellos y cada uno parece tener un aura diferente， las descripciones son muy interesantes sobre todo las de La cumbre Escarlata porque son lo que dan el aire de misterio。Es un thriller bien llevado， al parecer un poco lento pero si recordamos que es originalmente una película tiene sentido。 Ahora quiero ver la película para saber como es visualmente hablando。 Como libro es entretenido y muy atrapante， les recomiendo que lo lean si les gusto la película o incluso sino la han visto。 。。。more

Los fantasmas existen。 Es todo lo que sé。 Se desvanecen， junto con el pasado， como la niebla en plena luz del día… a su paso， dejan enseñanzas simbólicas。 Certezas simbólicas。 Este libro， en conjunto a la película， es una experiencia interesante， mágica y terrorífica， con unos toques de una historia de amor que nunca estuvo destinada a triunfar。 Y me gustó mucho， pese a que， luego de haber visto la película， ya sabía todo lo que ocurriría y a dónde nos llevaría esta tormentosa historia。 De to Los fantasmas existen。 Es todo lo que sé。 Se desvanecen， junto con el pasado， como la niebla en plena luz del día… a su paso， dejan enseñanzas simbólicas。 Certezas simbólicas。 Este libro， en conjunto a la película， es una experiencia interesante， mágica y terrorífica， con unos toques de una historia de amor que nunca estuvo destinada a triunfar。 Y me gustó mucho， pese a que， luego de haber visto la película， ya sabía todo lo que ocurriría y a dónde nos llevaría esta tormentosa historia。 De todas formas， esto me ayudó mucho con la visualización de lo que ocurría， para ver los escenarios y las escenas con mayor detalle， sumándole el gran trabajo que se hace para describir cada una de las escenas sin que resulte pesado， ni demasiado。 La narración es una de mis cosas favoritas pues es simplemente maravillosa。 Esto permite que la historia logre sumergirnos con gran detalle， a internarnos en las perspectivas de los personajes y sus situaciones， sus sentires y pesares， y junto con la ambientación que se logra， es un 10/10。 La trama está divida en tres libros y resulta de lo más interesante。 Comenzamos con una heredera， un tanto ingenua en el tema del romance， pero que al mismo tiempo， está bastante interesada en temáticas oscuras como los fantasmas y la muerte， los que con gran destreza plasma en sus novelas。 Y ahí， conoce a Sir Thomas Sharpe， que cambia todas sus concepciones sobre el amor， llevándola por un camino que brilla desde un inicio， pero que cada vez más comienza a convertirse en una pesadilla。 Además， lo que le faltó a la película （lo siento si sigo con esto， lol）， está aquí con más detalles， más escenas， algunas centradas en personajes que pasan un poco desapercibidos， lo que logra explicar algunos de los detalles que quedaron sueltos。 El final， o ya el libro final， es el que se queda como mi favorito， con los misterios descubiertos， los últimos planes de acción en movimiento y el principio del fin de la Cumbre Escarlata y de sus moradores。 Los personajes son fascinantes y macabros， y Edith aparece como un personaje que， incluso en novelas ambientadas en el siglo XIX， rompe los esquemas， aún sin perderse a sí misma y su esencia。Así que sí， un libro muy adictivo que se me pasó volando y que claramente recomiendo。 Sí es mejor llegar al libro， antes que a la película （y después maravillarse con los detalles de esta）， para un mejor disfrute de la historia。 。。。more
